Overview

Follow the steps below to create a GVC within your org.

Prerequisites

Create using the Console

  1. Create a new GVC using one of the following methods:
    • Click GVCs in the left menu, then click New, or
    • Click the Create dropdown in the upper right corner and select GVC.
  2. Enter a unique name and an optional description.
  3. Click Locations, then click Add Location to view a list of available locations. Select at least one location.
  4. Optionally, click Tags and enter any tags.
  5. Click Create.
These are the minimum properties required to create a GVC. Refer to the GVC reference page for details on the remaining properties that can be configured.
The locations you select are not limited to public cloud regions. Bare-metal servers, on-premises VMs, and your own Kubernetes clusters can be registered as locations and added to a GVC alongside cloud regions. See Deploy a Workload to Your Own Hardware.
